Happy Pawlidays, Corgi Lovers! We hope your holiday season is off to a fantastic start, and that you are setting aside time to appreciate the truly important things at this special time of year. Since many of us count our Corgis as treasured family members, the holidays are a good time to bring attention to the fact that thousands of pets won’t have a home or a family to call their own this year. That’s because too many people don’t spay and neuter their existing pets, and many others obtain their pets from illegal puppy mills or disreputable breeders. (Hint: Pets obtained from Craigslist or other ads oftentimes are listed from these two sources.)
Wouldn’t it be great if we could do something about this, like help some homeless Corgis get a family this year? We can’t think of a better holiday gift for everyone involved. That’s why we’re excited to team up with Queen’s Best Stumpy Dog Rescue to hold a special holiday party and adoption event to do just that. Queen’s Best Stumpy Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit that specializes in rescuing and rehoming special needs Corgis. They will be on-site introducing some of their sweet Corgis and answering questions about each dog, so you can get to know them, and they you. If you meet a Corgi that you think would be a good addition to your family, you can fill out an adoption application right on the spot! (Note: You will not be able to take a Corgi home that day - we want to make sure it’s a good match first so that everyone is set up for success!)
What you WILL be able to do is eat some delicious food, participate in a gift exchange, and enter your Corgi in a Corgi Costume contest! Details for this fantastic and fun day are:
Sunday, December 22
411 S. Garfield Ave. Unit 101
Alhambra, CA 91801
2p-3p: Gift Exchange
3p-4:30p: Corgi Costume Contest
4.30p-6:30p Adoption Event with QBSDR (Queen's Best Stumpy Dog Rescue)
In addition, we’re going to be rolling out a special strawberry matcha souffle pancake exclusively for the holiday season! This delicious new item is only available until January 11.
Bring your Corgis as well as your Corgi-loving friends and family for this festive afternoon of Corgi holiday fun!
